About

Juliet Leary is a poet and visual artist based in Denver. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Studio Art from the University of Vermont. Her work traces the faultlines between girlhood, grief, and desire—orbiting hunger, estrangement, and the soft violences of being perceived. She returns, again and again, to the body as a site of absurdity and inheritance, tracking intimacy, lineage, and self-construction. Her poems write into the impulse to vanish, with rooms left unfurnished and doors left ajar. Often, what’s unsaid becomes the louder thing, where the quiet turns feral.
